REGULAR STAFF TESTING TO COMMENCE

Following the recommendations of Public Health and the RHRA Norfolk Manor staff will be asked to voluntarily subject themselves to covid testing every 2 weeks commencing July 2 , 2020. For convenience the testing will be done in- house with the support of Public Health.

At this time visitors are not being asked to be tested.

OUTSIDE Health Practitioners Allowed Access

As of June 20th health care practioners are not being allowed in. Previously only doctors and essential care providers such as public health, RHRA representatives, ambulance or assessors with the palliative care team.

Now Physio therapists, occupational therapists, mental health support, wound care, rpn or rn care services etc. are being allowed in following stict screening protocols.

Limiting outside traffic seems prudent as we look to slowly open and keep our residents potential exposure to community to a minimum.

TRIP – SWEET KYLA – Premium Baby Bedding

Norfolk Manor residents took a day trip to Sweet Kyla so see  How it’s Made — Such a wonderful trip touring the new SweetKyla.com factory here in Guelph to see how they make Baby Bedding and Nursery Decor — we loved seeing the quality that is put into every piece of baby bedding, which is all made by hand with love!!! It was fun sharing stories — lots of real sewing experts in the crowd today!!!    For more pictures and the full story please check out our face book page)     https://www.facebook.com/SweetKylaBaby/

MOCK EVACUATION 2016

Our Mock Evacuation was a terrific success.  Norfolk Manor staff and residents participated in their annual mock evacuation as part of their ongoing emergency preparedness & training. They conducted a horizontal evacuation of each floor followed by a vertical evacuation of the building. They then took full advantage of the wonderful day and had a BBQ lunch. Things went along smooth and the burgers & shandies on the patio were terrific. Thanks to our health & safety team and the flexibility of our dietary team to pull this of.. ( Check out our facebook page for the full story and pictures.

Volunteer Appreciation Dinner

Thank you to our AMAZING VOLUNTEERS who share their talents with all of us — we have musicians, artists, storytellers, card players and crafters who brighten our days and touch our lives. We are so grateful for all that they do. Tonight was a night to celebrate & say thank you at a lovely garden BBQ hosted by David Ing & Lynda Murray. A special thanks to Dawn Sunderland Keating for planning the event and Tammy Engelage for catering. Such a wonderful evening! ( More pics on facebook)
