Frederick John (Jack) Ing (1921-2001)
Trained as an electrical engineer on Aircraft in England and came to Canada to start the charter business and aircraft maintenance at what is now Pearson International Airport. Later he worked at Dehavilland and became a rehab officer with the Workers Compensation Board in Weston. In 1969, together with Patricia Ing, R.N., established Inglebrook Nursing Home in Elora as administrator in long term care.
Patricia Ing, R. N.
Trained as a nurse in England and specialized in psychiatry. She worked at the Queensway General in the OR and the Lakeshore Psychiatric Hospital. Later she became the evening supervisor at the Tullamore Nursing Home in Brampton before embarking on the “Family Business” in 1969 in Elora. Together they built the Inglebrook Nursing Home in Fergus and established the Norfolk Manor retirement home in 1980.
